💡 No Business button at the bottom? Open Google in Chrome and search my business, then tap Edit profile. Still nothing? The listing is not yours yet: go to B.
⏳ Google checks the change. The Website button usually shows within a day, sometimes a few days.
Not yours yet? Claim your stay
Use a Gmail that you will keep for years. Not a staff member’s phone.
- 1In Google Maps, search your stay’s name and open it. Tap About
- 2Tap Claim this business
- 3Tap Manage now
- 4Choose how Google checks you: a code by text, call or email, or a short video
🎥 If Google asks for a video
- 1Start outside: show your name board and the road
- 2Walk in without stopping: the rooms, the reception
- 3Show something only the owner has: keys, guest register, licence
- 4One video, no cuts. Then wait: Google takes up to 5 working days
When it is done, do A to add your website.
💡 Someone else already owns it (an old manager, a family member)? Ask them to add your Gmail as an owner, or ask the Homlystay person who made your website to help.
Can’t claim it now? Suggest the website
Anyone can suggest a change. Google decides, so this is not sure. Claiming (B) is better.
- 1Open your stay on Google Maps. Tap Suggest an edit
- 2Tap Change name or other details
- 3Paste your link in Website
- 4Tap Submit
Done! Check it
Search your stay on Google Maps. Tap Website. Your own site should open.
